The Savvy Story

Savvy Homewares opened its doors on 15th March 2007, and in the first year of business won The Leader 2007 Home & Decorator Business Awards. We also won The Leader 2008 Business Achiever Awards for the second year running.

Vicky Vermeend is the owner, operator and creator of Savvy Homewares, she has fulfilled a lifetime dream by combining her skills, passion and knowledge to achieve a highly successful business.

Vicky has worked in the retail industry for over 25 years, in which time she achieved the position of National Retail Manager of a large company.

As well as her successful career in retail, Vicky has also obtained certificates in Interior Decoration and Design from RMIT.  A long standing passion for Décor
and Decoration, a natural flair and a keen eye for detail has enabled Vicky to create a store that reflects a very unique style.

Savvy is a contemporary homewares store that has something to compliment all décors. There are vases, lamps, cushions, figurines, jewellery, and handbags. The wide range of products
vary from inexpensive pieces through to more extravagant one off pieces.

You will feel the tranquility and calmness when you walk in the store and there is always a warm, happy, smiling face to greet you.  Free gift-wrapping is also part of the experience, so the customer can take some of the ambience home with them.
